About Me

My Background

I attended the University of Michigan for my Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Social Work. Looking back at my journey, it is clear that working with families and young children was always going to be my path. It started with babysitting and moved through to working in daycares, preschools, and intervention programs. In graduate school I interned with two school districts in their early childhood special education and general education programs.

While I loved working with the children in the school environment, I felt drawn to offer more in-depth support to the family as a whole.  After graduating with my MSW, I spent several years as an Infant Mental Health Home-Visiting Therapist for families with children pregnancy through 6 years old, and was endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist thorough the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health. Following that I took my most recent role as a Clinical Social Worker with Michigan Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry's Infant and Early Childhood Clinic, where I provide diagnostic assessments, ongoing psychotherapy, and supervise MSW students.

Some of my other passions in life are my pets, who sometimes make guest appearances during sessions. I love to shift gears out of my head and into touchable creative projects like pottery and cross-stitch. When I am in need of a social-refill, I love to host board game nights or go out for trivia with friends.
